WordPress

WordPress is not the complicated system it once had a reputation for being. I build every WordPress websites so you can add pages, make changes, and update your own content without needing to call a developer every time.

Shopify

If you’re selling online only, or you’re extending into ecommerce, Shopify is the right call. It’s easy to manage day-to-day and built to handle paid ad traffic, which makes it a solid choice if you’re running paid ads.

WooCommerce

WooCommerce is built on top of WordPress and works well when you have a service business that also sells products. You get a proper online store with inventory, payments, and shipping, without needing a separate platform.

Landing Pages

Landing pages are ideal if you want to test a new offer, get something live quickly on a smaller budget, or run Google or Meta Ads before committing to a full website build. One page, one message, one clear next step.

1. Strategy Workshop

I start with a session focused on your offer, your ideal customer, and your brand.

This is where we work out what the website needs to say, who it needs to say it to, and what action we want people to take.

Nothing gets written or designed until this is clear.

2. Content Creation & Website Design

Once strategy is set, I build the content and design around it. You’ll see concepts and give feedback before anything is finalised.

The copy, layout, and visual direction all come from what we established in the strategy session, not from a template pulled off a shelf.

3. Build & Launch

The site gets built, tested across devices, and reviewed before going live.

I handle the technical setup including hosting, analytics, and tracking, so you don’t have to.

After launch, I don’t disappear. Most clients move into driving traffic through Google Ads, Meta Ads, or SEO. That’s when the website starts paying for itself.

How much does a website cost in Australia?

For most service businesses, a professionally designed website starts at $2,500 and goes up from there depending on scope and how much content is involved.

Landing pages start from $1,000, though if you’re running Google or Meta Ads with me, I include these as part of the engagement.

Either way, you’ll get a clear fixed-price quote after our strategy session with no surprises.

How long does it take to build a website?

Most business websites are completed in 4 to 8 weeks from kickoff. That timeline depends largely on how quickly content and feedback come through, the development itself is usually the faster part. Landing pages and smaller projects can turn around in 1 to 2 weeks.

What types of businesses do you work with?

Most of my clients are tradies and service businesses, plumbers, electricians, cleaners, builders, allied health providers, and professional services like bookkeepers and consultants. If you run a service business and want a website that generates enquiries, we’ll probably be a good fit. I also work with ecommerce businesses who need WooCommerce or Shopify builds.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Most projects run on a 20% deposit to kick off with the balance due at launch. For larger builds I can split payments across milestones. We’ll work out what makes sense for your project on the call.

I also don’t want paying for a website to get in the way of your marketing budget, I like to get stuck into running ads to your website as soon as it goes live. This helps us minimise your payback period so your website starts earning you money as soon as possible.

Do I need to provide my own content and photos?

Branded copywriting is included in every project. I write the content based on what comes out of the strategy session so its accurate to your brand, offer and ideal customer. For photography and video, I can connect you with trusted creatives across Australia through my partner network if you need it, or we can work with what you have.

Do you build websites for businesses outside of Cairns?

Yes. Most of my clients are based all over in Australia, mainly in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales. Everything is managed online and location has never been a barrier to a good outcome.

Do you build in WordPress?

WordPress is my primary platform for tradies, service businesses, and allied health providers. For online stores I build on WooCommerce or Shopify depending on what suits your business. All three are established, widely supported platforms that are straightforward to manage and easy to get help with if you ever need it.

What I don’t build on is custom platforms or AI website generators. They can look appealing upfront but tend to create headaches down the track if you want to make changes yourself, switch providers, or grow your site without relying on a developer every time.

Do you use AI to build websites?

Yes, I use AI for research, competitive analysis, content planning, and improving efficiency on every project. What I don’t do is use it to generate the website itself and present the speed as a selling point.

Here’s why that matters. I’ve looked at a lot of AI-generated websites, and the problem isn’t that they look bad. Some of them look fine. The problem is they’re built without any real understanding of the business behind them. The copy could apply to any competitor in the same industry. The offer isn’t clear. There’s no particular reason for a visitor to choose this business over the next result. And when you put ad spend behind a site like that, the results tend to reflect it.

A website built without that strategic foundation is a bet that doesn’t usually pay off, regardless of how fast it was produced. I’d rather use AI to do better work than use it to do less work. There’s a difference, and your results are where you’ll feel it.
